The short version

1. Who we are

Wavelength is provided by AYDA Digital, United Kingdom, who is the data controller for anything described here. Contact: admin@aydayazdani.com. By using Wavelength you agree to this Policy and to our Terms of Use.

2. The apps (iPhone, iPad, Mac)

The apps work entirely on your device. Recordings, edits, autosaves, projects and settings are stored locally (and in Files / iCloud Drive or other locations only if you save there yourself). The apps do not connect to our servers, do not collect analytics or crash reports for us, and hold no account.

The apps ask for permission to use the microphone (to record) and, on the Mac, for screen/system-audio capture if you choose to record what your computer is playing. Those permissions are managed by Apple in your device settings and can be withdrawn at any time. Apple may collect its own diagnostics under your Apple ID settings; that is governed by Apple's privacy policy, not ours.

3. Wavelength Studio (browser version)

When you use the Studio at wavelength.aydayazdani.com/studio we process:

Studio data is stored on our server in the European Union. Sign-in records are kept until you sign out or the session expires, and any account record can be deleted on request. Logs are rotated automatically.

4. This website

This site uses no analytics or advertising cookies. It loads fonts from Google Fonts, which means Google may see your IP address when the page loads.

5. Third parties

We use Google (sign-in and fonts) and, for downloads bought through the App Store, Apple, who handle payment and their own analytics under their policies. Where transcription is used, audio is passed to speech-to-text providers and comparable services only to produce a transcript. We do not sell your data.

6. Your rights (UK GDPR)

You can ask us what personal data we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected or deleted, object to or restrict processing, and ask for a copy in a portable form. Email admin@aydayazdani.com and we will respond within one month. You can also complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk). Our legal basis for the Studio sign-in is our legitimate interest in running and securing the service.

7. Security and its limits

Your recordings are protected only by your device and its passcode, and the Studio by your Google account. Anyone who can unlock your device, sign in as you, or holds a file or link you shared can access your audio. Keep your device locked, use two-factor authentication and sign out on shared computers. We are not responsible for what others do with audio you shared or for anyone who gains access to your device, accounts, files or links.

8. Children

Wavelength is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them. If you think a child has given us personal data, contact us and we will delete it.

9. Changes and contact

We may update this Policy; the date at the top shows the current version. Questions or requests: admin@aydayazdani.com.
